Free time activity

Hi everyone!, today I am going to talk about one activity that I love. If I am honest, due to personal problems this year, I really has not been very active, even now, it is difficult for me to do any activity, even, over months, I have fought against my inner demons. 
Then, the activity that truly I do constantly is listen to music. Maybe you think that mentioning one activity, it is boring, even to me is a little boring, but, believe me, I really can't do any other activities, overcoat this year has been particularly bad to me.
Well, I listen to music every day, especially at night and when I am alone. The first because I suffer from insomnia, among other things which I will not to tell you. 
The music that I listen sometimes in my room it relax me, although, sometimes it makes me cry, for now, is rarely that make me be happy, to smile, or "good things". This activity has the power to make me feel emotions, discharging repressed feelings.
Basically what I am doing is hear the music that helps me at the moment, and thus it depends on how I felt, what emotions were swimming on my mine, and what of these emotions took my heart and submerges it in a momentary darkness.
I know probably all that I said today it was a little, or too melancholic, but, it will pass.

APP

Hey everyone! How you have been these days? Good I hope. Well, today the post will be about any app that I enjoy, in other words, my favourite app.

If I am honest, I can't decide yet, but, that this is what life is all about, to taking decisions at all times. However, I would like to mention my three favourites apps. These are Instagram, YouTube and Spotify. And after thinking hard and long time I decided to choose the third app that I have just mentioned, Spotify.

Well, relatively I have been using this app for no more than one year and even then, Spotify has been to make me fall in love.

I really don't know how I knew Spotify, maybe Instagram and other apps, maybe on TV (sales representatives, for example), the important thing is that why I like it, or I should say, why I love it? Simple, I love music, that's all, Spotify, also I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY, there, you have a world of music, songs, artists, you can discover new music all time, this has been killing me for months!

Although, as with most things of life, not everything is perfect, I could say that, so far, I must say two things that I don't like completely, first, this app is not free (I know, so sad!) and it does not include ALL MUSIC, yes, the most part it is here, but, and this compared to YouTube, there are many singers, who dedicate themselves to do cover songs for example, and sometimes making them significantly better than the original songs.

And finally, I recommend this app to all people that can't enjoy the daily life without music, all musicians, the music world will be at your fingertips, anyway, everyone who can pay Spotify.

Practice

About activities for practicing my English, I can only conclude which the items where I have to read and understand what I am reading and about what is it. By contrast, the listening and vocabulary activities were more complicated to do, it takes me so much longer than other things. Anyway, best results can be achieved if we practice continually. Don't give up friends! Have a nice week Martians!!

Ambition

Ambition, ambition, a conflicting word to me because, and the following it will be for the reason that should be too long for a one post, well, before (1 or 2 years ago) I was considering me as ambitious person, but this decrease due to a many factors, among which when I started the university and more specific, when I started to study Anthropology. I was seventeen years old when I decided to study Biologic Anthropology at University of Chile (my dream is those times), this together with all difficulties which that engendered.

Over the months I began noticing that the career was not that I expected, to be more specific, in the first semester I only have one subject maybe it was relationated with the area that I wanted. The latter was repeated the next semester, that at the same time that I was starting to feel unmotivated, dismayed, and so sad about having to study subjects that I did not understand. I was going so bad.

Well, the first year passed and one event was happenned, it is only from that moment when almost everything about my life started to going wrong. Months went and began May, due to a number of complications I had to leave Santiago and return to my region, Magallanes. I cannot say that the things improved here, but thanks to support of my family and friends it makes me feel a little happy. 

I decided to study visual arts, the University transfers me to this career, this makes me so happy and hopeful, I try to study and don´t feel unmotivated during all this semester and the next one so that I can transfer to visual arts. My friends of Antrhopology will help me in this case (thank you guys, I love you so much).

Horoscope

Hi everyone! Today I will write to all on the horoscope or more specifically my sign of the zodiac. 

The truth is that I am slightly sceptical to everything religious and mystical, but I prefer, all the same, making myself to believe in certain things only for fun, so if we think that the life is like that as it would be extremely boring. And, naturally, the Horoscope could not be out of the list of the mystical things that I "believe".

First, my star sign is... (drum roll) VIRGO! (*That because I was born on September 7th actually, this means which all Virgo people were born between August 22nd and September 21st).

Virgo is my zodiacal influence, but the most important question before I start with the post. Am I really a "Virgo girl"? Well... Yes, I freely admit which I have read a lot about my zodiac sign and in the majority of times has been right, both in the predictions and in the personality of the sign in general.

Continuing with the post, now I'll talk about the astral chart, I do not know much about it, but I can comment a few of things such as my ascendant, which, according to a web page very complete about this topic, that is, by the way, Virgo! Surprise, surprise! I don't know if I should be afraid about that, or put myself a big red sign saying: "Hey everyone, be kind with this girl, her zodiac sign and ascendant is Virgo!". And now there is the top of everything else, my Moon is in Pisces (only people understand what it means will comprehend me).

My dream job!

Hi everyone! Considering that I will swap Anthropology for Visual Arts, I would like to connect this post with the "new future" that it will bring me. Now my plans are, to study Visual Arts, next to this study a year and a half more to be a high school Visual Arts teacher, and if only I can, also I would like to study Art History and Theory at this same University.  So, having said that, start with the post.

If I am truly honest, I would really love to work in a high school. introducing a new methodology to teach. This method, I would like, it would will be more flexible, promoting the talent and each student art style. I even choke up when I think about it. 
Well, between the qualities and skills that I should have are (in my opinion): high expectations, a nice personality, a good style to teach, to be passionate to teach, a good rapport with students, to teach interactive classes, a lot of patience, establish harmony and discipline, not being close to a new kind of arts, such as ceramic or weaving. With many more of qualities and skills. 

Last but not least, I would get to this possible future job, to feeling like I will be part of the student's educational pathway, even, I hope, some that another future artist. Or simply to make them feel that all persons can be talented or artists. Do not make the classes boring .

Art in all types!

Hey Martians! Today the post will be about two things which I really love to do, to listen and to live day-to-day. In fact, I consider which them are so important that without them the life would not make sense to me, then I will explain why.

That "two things" are music and art. I shall start with the music. By age 8 or 9, when I was still studying in a small town near Puerto Natales, I started to learn to play traverse flute. At the age of 18 I still continued playing traverse flute, but starting the University I had not time to nothing which was not to read, so, I put it aside. By the way, the person behind almost everything my knowledge with respect to play traverse flute was Erik M. Thanks so much for everything.

Back in time, when I started the high school I met Angelino S. This teacher taught us art, without him the learning and practicing experience would have been differently probably. Many thanks to you too!

This year, due to many bad situations carried forward from prior months, I discovered which my place is not be in Anthropology, but that on the contrary it is in Art. Because, what better than painting, drawing, listening the most inspirational music. So relaxing. I can tell you which with only that two things I consider myself to be a very happy girl.  Unfortunately, although maybe I can change of career and starting with Art the next year, I am obliged to continue studying Anthropology the rest of this year. Only if the Faculty will do not reject me the career transfer. All this means that I still I won´t be able to paint while listening music. Why? Well, to be honest, continue in this career make me extremely unhappy, and this makes paint and draw very difficult, because a lot of reasons, such as I cannot focus my mind and I don't allow me to be relaxed and happy. I'm weird.

By the way! In addition to the foregoing, I also like to write stories of all kinds, recently I had very much enjoyed writing poems.

Veggie food

Hey Martians! How you been? Good I hope.

Today I will talk about FOOD!!! Beautiful and delicious food ha, ha.
First of all I I must to say which I am vegetarian since March of this year. Consequently, I could not say my favourites food, because my food tastes have changed, So I shall proceed as follows, I will make two lists, the first will have three foods which I liked before, and the second list will have three vegetarian foods that I love now. And without further ado, I am going to start with this.

First list (non vegetarian) - Speciesist killer, ha!

1. Chicken Milanese with rice or mixed salad.
2. Lasagne
3. Gnocchi made by my grandmother <3

Second list (vegetarian)

1. Veggie Lasagna
2. Veggie Sushi (with avoccado, cream cheese and any vegetable like red or green pepper)
3. Veggie beans made by my mother <3

Finally, I will mention a few places that I like to go to eat. First, and of course that could not be left out of this post, the Masay Pizza! This is a place to eat -forgive the repetition-, traditional in Puerto Natales, unfortunately, most of the dishes are not veggie, so sad. My favourite dish of Masay Pizza
is the vegetarian sandwich, so delicious!!
Honourable Mentions: Patagonia Dulce, Ñandú, Baguales, Amerindia, all these places are in Puerto Natales <3
Sorry, but I have not favourite places in Santiago, until now.

Something I'd like to learn

Hello, hello little Martians! Today I would like to write about something which I would like to learn. If I am honest, I am the kind of person who have a list with things to learn one day, there are a lot of things, but only for today, I am going to choose three things.

These three things that I would like to learn are: to swim or at least to float (I do not know what I am exactly, because I do not even know to float, I am sinking like Jack of the Titanic, well... ignore that cruel reference) , to drawing human and animal faces, realistic, I hope, and finally, to use Photoshop (only for fun).

Something that I started learning and stopped that I would like to pursue? Well, let me time to think. Oh, I know what it would be, Volleyball.

I started to play (and learn, obviously) Volleyball when I was... Oh no, I did not remember when I started to play Volleyball. Although if I want to finish this post I am going to put me at age for reference, so you get some idea about... Well, I think that you get the point. Let's start again!

I started to play volleyball when I was fifteen or sixteen years old. I fell in love with volleyball, due to two simple reasons, One of those reasons is that the volleyball is a non-contact sport, What I want to say with this? Simply, I was not be forced to have body-to-body contact with players of the opposing team, such as basketball or football. 

I can promise you that I totally hate the body-to-body contact, because I am not an aggressive and rude person, so when I played basketball (before volleyball) I was putting myself very nervous for the body-to-body contact.

Free! Simpsonmania

Hello, hello little Martians, today I am going to talk about my favourite animated sitcom, (drum roll)... The Simpsons!!

And who does not know who are The Simpsons?
Well, The Simpsons, as I said at the start, is an animated sitcom, created by Matt Groening. It is a kind of a satirical representation of working-class life. The Simpsons family is comprised of five members, they call Homer (the father), Marge (the mother), Bart (the eldest brother), Lisa (the second daughter) and Maggie (the baby and the youngest of the family).

Well, I do not what more I should say, so I will write to you about my favourites seasons, characters, and scenes in particular that I love.
My favourite seasons are ultimately the fifth and the twelfth seasons. Because in these seasons are the best episodes ever!! Such as "Homer Goes to College", "Homer the Vigilante", or "New Kids on the Blecch", so funny episodes! Watch these episodes! I totally recommend it!

Second point, my favourites characters (this because, why I should choose only one?). If I should have to select only three characters I would like to choose Lisa Simpson (because I love her! She is so intelligent, a strong environmentalist, vegetarian, saxophonist, feminist ❣, with a liberal political stance, Buddhist, and a lot of qualities, all this without leaving her child spirit, well, in most cases.
The next character is Homer, yes, it was very predictable, but, Homer, although he is hot-tempered, clumsy, lazy, cranky, alcoholic, ignorant, silly, boor, but he do not stops being funny!!
And, ultimately, a random character, Bleeding Gums Murphy, a gifted saxophonist, who was the idol and role model of Lisa.

In conclusion, The Simpsons, even though it represents the reality of a "common" American middle class family, after the 20th season, The Simpsons were becoming a little boring, making the characters more unbearable (in the case of Lisa and Bart), a moralist and with conservative mind, even submissive (for example Marge), etcetera.

First day at University

Hi everyone, today I am going to talk about my first day at University, and without further ado, started with this...
Well, my first day at University... I was feeling so nervous, I was afraid of people in general and not be accepted by people. I woke up so early because I didn't want to fall asleep or arrive late.

I did not accustom to the new hot climate, because I am from Puerto Natales, wherein the maximum temperature was between 24 degrees Celsius. Anyway, I really, really hate hot weather!

I will be honest about how I felt that day, I was feeling so frightened, nervous, anxious, disoriented, well, a lot of emotions that made me a quiet girl, so shy, so withdrawn, anyway, that person that said her name was Javiera was not me.

Well, with regard to the University I noted that the buildings or more specifically, the faculties were so dull. The atmosphere was not boring the earliest days of classes. By the way, after the first few classes I could ensure that the best classes (or that at least knew that I would like) were Biología (Biology) and Historia Latinoamericana (Latin American History).

Finally, I might also add that the first person that I spoke
and later we became friends, her name is Jazmín (love u girl).

Oh! I almost forget that... most of the first half of last year I was feeling so silly! This because the majority of my classmates knew a lot about all subjects, or that was what I feel in this moment. For all that I had been always scared and quiet, I didn't dare to ask doubts, suggesting ideas, among other things. And, to top it all, every time that I finally decide
to talk I feel that anyone heard me. So sad ha,ha.

Taco

That will be so personal and even embarrassing because many reasons. I do not want to say his name, but I named him as Taco. This guy appears in my life a short time ago. Exactly at the finally week of december, 2017. I don't really lie when I said that was recently. Well, continue with the story, I met him when I went with a friend to a "Restobar" located in my city, Puerto Natales, called Baguales. Here, a lot of friends (and with "a lot" I refer to five or seven friends more), come to the place and between all of friends was Taco. (Freak fact: Taco was the best friend of the friend of the boyfriend of my counsin called Valentina, yes, as anthropology student I am traumatized with The Elementary Structures of Kinship). I thought too much how differents we are but, at the same time, these differences complemented on the other. Our connection were not inmediately but, nevertheless, were in a short time. This summer was difficult but the most beautiful memories was with Taco. I never thought known someone like Taco, he's unique, and a lot of qualities, but continue us with the other thing, I should add what comes next will be so sad. The distance between Taco and me it's too much, for this we can't see each other. But thanks to social media and Internet we can talk through video call or phone call.
